Hello fellow fisherman,
My 2006 Tracker 16Pro started leaking water badly. I plugged the Livewell intake and no more leak. Forgive me for my ignorance but how do I access the livewell hoses? I had new carpeting place 2 years ago and only see rivets. Thanks, Jimmy (aka Catfish)

there will be screws holding the floor and decks down. look in the carpet.

if it is riveted, you will need to drill out the rivets.

Thanks for the reply but I don't see.any screws or even bumps in the carpet suggesting a screw head may be there. I love having my Livewell but ripping the carpet out to find the screws ain't worth it. Surely somebody knows where the screws are. I quess I need to create a post asking how to find that person.

If it's screws stainless wouldnt be magnetic, but you could try it.

Don't over expect someone to be able to tell you where screws/rivets are. They were likely roughly X inches from the edges, Y inches space between but no where near exactlythe same boat to boat. Esp if riveted. See hulls w 2 rivets side by side or even overlapping each other..

Likely in rows fore and aft splitting the hull width in half or 3rds on a 16ftr......

Bet it's riveted if you can't feel screws.

How do you expect to lift out a section of deck w carpet still attached?

Or is the deck in your boat panelized?

Deck probably runs under any consoles and seat boxes....

When I had to rebuild my ex father in laws boat due to live well plumbing. I spent a day with a small pick digging in the carpet to find the screws. Then another 2 days pulling the boat apart, finding the screws I missed

Looking for screws or even rivets buried in carpet is difficult. No set pattern as these are self tapping or drilled where ever the installer felt the need. Are the live wells in the floor or built into the decks and seats ? Sometimes the live well needs to be removed to reach the hoses and connectors. My Sylvan has the live wells into the decks fore and aft. Gotta lift the deck or the live well housing to reach the hoses. Not much fun...I don't use live wells so blocked mine right away and use them as storage.
