The first event of the Pro Wakeboard Tour is again in Acworth, GA (my home port). I've never gone to the show, but some friends of ours and us were planning on taking our boats out this year to watch the show. Anybody been to this tournament and know what if/how you can take your boat to watch? What are the guidelines and so forth? Thanks!

That link just takes you, ultimately, back to the tournament site. They don't have any information posted on their site about watching from a boat. I may have to email them and ask.

Re: Acworth, GA Wakeboard Tournament

I just exchanged some emails with Bob Doughty, Director of Operations for the tournament and this is what he says:
"There will more than likely be about 200+ boats out there with you. There is no cost if you come by boat but there is no access to the shore from a boat either. We ask that you keep your wakes to a minumun and the Coast Guard Auxillary and local Sheriff will be on patrol on the water to help control lake traffic and speeds."
I then asked "...will there be buoys marking where you can and cannot go, or is that the responsibility of the patrol?"
Bob replied: "It will all make sense when you get there and see it. The course is clear and we have about 120 feet of inflatables marking where to stay outside of."

Hope this helps you guys out. Maybe we will see you out there; look for my catamaran deck boat called "Blind Date" (pictured above)
