Add Electric Start to 1999 Evinrude

We have a friend with a 1999 9.9 hp 4 stroke Evinrude, and it is very hard to pull to start. Can that motor be converted to Electric start and if so what does the kit cost and can it be installed by a do it yourselfer. <br />one other question<br />on the hood it says 9.9<br />on the data plate it says 7.5kw <br />what is it? I do not have the model number

Electric start kit P/N 176449, for motors 1995-2001. Price about $500.00. Push button start at motor. You will need a flywheel puller as this kit contains a new flywheel.

I don´t know if there is a kit for this motor ,but it´s not to hard to find the parts needed .<br />Starter #586275 (9.9/15 4 STROKE 1994 UP )Price: $215.00<br />STARTER SOLENOID #586180 Price: $29.50<br />Some wires ,battery connecters ,start switch .<br />Maybe flywheel ??<br /><br />I do not know that specific engine , so errors may occur .<br />Prices collected from www.maxrules.com .<br />

1 horsepower = 0.746 Kw<br />9.9 x 0.746 = 7,3854 Kw<br />7.5 / 0.746 = 10,0536 hp
