I met my boating partner at the ramp right before sun up. He always has trouble starting my boat, so I'm always behind the boat wheel and he backs up the last few feet to launch. His last words were, "Did you untie all the straps. The boat will not come off the trailer. I then realize that I forgot to release the transom straps.
I yell at him to pull up and then I complete the unstrap job. No big deal.

While on the river, my morning coffee finally hit my lower intestinal tract. Now we are in my 18 ft bass boat. No head on board. I suffer in silence for a while and then decide that there is going be a "movement" with or without my consent. No time to pull up the anchor and go to shore. So I finally decide to releive myself onto a towel in the bottom of the boat. Maybe too much information.

After that I was good to continue fishing.

Award Winning Post

This wins the most disgusting post.

Although, somewhat humorous ...

Glad I was not wakeboarding near you!

The story starts out with transom straps and ends up with crappy fishing.

And here I was thinking I was about to read another "forgot the plug" post. Well... on second thought I guess it kind of was.

Definitely belongs in the TMI category. :O

I hope you didn't bring the towel home and ask the DW to wash it for you.

Re: Add me to the list.

My natural story telling inclinations are such that I have a tendency to "top" or try to top any story told. In this instance I think I'll pass. Although, now that I think about it, I do remember the time that - - - but no, I'll pass.

Given the situation that was probably as reasonable a solution as one would likely find. After all it is not as if you had a week to think about it. Or even ten minutes, sounds like.

Just a suggestion - It is not a story that everyone would appreciate so think twice before you tell - a lady friend, for instance.

Re: Add me to the list.

This was a movement and an urge more powerful than the 1812 Overture. I had contemplated several alternatives but the reality of time and space was lost on my lower extremities.
As I had stated. the "movement" was going to occur with or without my consent. My partner was not affected by the wind (odor) or noise of the relief that flooded over me. Windage and noise from the electrical generators and discharge from the power plant absolved him from that unpleasant occurance.
I am still happy that the "movement" was reconciled with my correct anticipation of the impending results. The result could be coorelated to the speed of light as that was how quickly the evacuation process occured. The towel is now probably somewhere 90 miles down river of the occurance.:D

Caution should be taken by any residents in St. Louis or further downstream from Louisville as a hazardous spill is headed your way.

PS: We just had an oil spill down here and had to close the river from mile 97 to the gulf .... we're not gonna have to close up again over this "weapon of mass destruction," are we?

Re: Add me to the list.

port-a-podys are a great investment, but if your cheep like me, a 5 gallon bucket will do! just use it for something like fish guts from then on.

that is very funny, at least you got to finish fishing for the day and your buddy didnt have to ask you to ride in the back of the truck
