Re: Add me to the Smarttabs club!!!

Ok I may have to give these a try... Can anyone point me in the right direction for a blemished set for a 23' Wellcraft with 5.7L? If you had say $100-$200 to spare would this be my best bang for the buck? Not hurting for cash but for say $100-$200 I want to notice a difference.

Re: Add me to the Smarttabs club!!!

I've been reading this foruum for quite a few years now and have read every possible post about the smart tabs. I was out in my boat a larson senza 210 lx br last week pulling my 6 yr old son in a tube and what a pain in the butt it was trying to stay at a slow speed. Considering it took me 25mph to plane out. So when ii got home i mmediately ordered the smart tabs. They came in today and i already have them installed to take my son tubing again tommorrow. Will let you all know if it makes a big difference.

Everyone who has put them on or is going to put them on will love them. We have a 22' deckboat, it has a 5.0/alpha combo, the bow rise was horrible. You would stare at the sky until around 22 or so. Now it is plaining by 15/16, and with VERY little bow rise. I can also keep plane to around 13. This is great for youngsters that are learning to sky and do watersports. BTW, my wife loved the idle control too. The boat used to teter toter from side to side, but now it goes straight as arrow, at the lowest idle speed possible. Makes moving around marina's very easy and trailering a breeze. Get them you will love them. By far the best $100 dollar boat investment.

Ok... Now I'm sold on giving these a try but the blimished ones max out at I believe 22' and 240hp.. I am 23' with 260hp. Any suggestions? Would the 22' model work at all for me or would it be $ down the drain?

I'm trying to join the club with you, redone. Putting them on a '97 Capri. I ordered them (SX9510-60), but somewhere along the way iboats ran out of them after I ordered, so I'm delayed about a week and a half. :(

Re: Add me to the Smarttabs club!!!

My smart tabs have been in the truck of my car for a month. I need more than 24 hours in a day...

I feel your pain. I've been staring at mine in the passenger seat of my truck for at least a month. I bought the retractor plates and needed a different connection at the actuator and retractor handle assembly. I called Nauticus and wasn't on the phone 60 seconds and they put the parts in the mail at no cost.

Awesome customer service. I can't wait to get them installed.

Re: Add me to the Smarttabs club!!!

OK so i tried out my smarttabs yesterday for the first time and what a surprise. You read what everybody says about them but when you experience it, it is amazing. My bow barely even came out of the water. My wife drove the boat the week before i had them on and then drove it after and could not believe the difference. They are well worth the regular price, so the factory blems at $99 is a steal. This is by far the best investment i have made on the boat so far.

My advice is to call Nauticus, I think you will have to go with the Stainless Steel version, they would be able to tell you, there may be something about your boat that would let you use the SX tabs.

I was going to put mine on last night but I'll have to move my swim ladder and I didn't feel like getting into it as it was already getting late...

I want to get my boat first, hopefully with an IB and a swim deck I can throw some of these on there, people are just raving about them!

Getting the boat before you install Smart Tabs is generally a good plan . . . :p :D

Naaww, no boat needed... The Tabs are so good, you can just screw them to your butt, kick your feet real fast and pretend you're a boat. You'll have no bow rise and you can stay on plane down to 1.2 MPH...:D

Glad everyone agrees the Tabs are awesome! I've been impressed all season by mine and let people know every chance I get!
