add temp gauge to '95 merc 150 efi

Would like to add a temp gauge to my 1995 Mercury 150 EFI. The rest of my gauges are Quicksilver 1997. I see a few out there, my question is, are they all compatable? Can I just choose one that kind of matches my others? Thanks

IMO a temp gauge is a waste of $$ , better to install a water pressure gauge as instant acting and can actually see t-stat and poppet open/close. Also can tell if water pump is getting weak by pressure drop....

Agree with Fb. But also like tha gauge to along with a "working" warning buzzer. Ya not always lookin' at tha gauge, pressure or temp! Most will work. Should tell ya if its compatible with your existing sender in tha paper work................

One thing ta keep in mind though. 99% of those gauges may not read right temp. or temp your lookin' for but will be close enough to give ya a reference as to WHERE tha gauge should be reading at any given time. So if something changes you will know it. Best way to figure out just how close it is is with a temp gun then ya know for sure............jmo
