Buy the temp gauge right here on iBoats. Make sure its for an outboard, and make sure the sender matches the gauge. Follow the directions that come with the sender and gauge. For more details -- do a search on this forum for "add a temp gauge". It's covered at least a half dozen times. And you should have two senders - one for each head. The senders feed a switch so you can switch between the two. A single gauge cannot monitor two sensors without a switch. Installing one sender on one head is no guarantee the other unmonitored side is not overheating.
