[Sonoran Heat]

Surging, loss of power and backfire after about 10 min under load at anything over 2500 rpms - heres what I have done so far, please add to my list of what to check:

Rebuilt carb
New fuel pump
cleaned gas tank
fuel/water seperator
new fuel filters
new fuel lines
checked vacume
new plug wires
new points
new dist cap


78 mercruiser 140 4 cyl

Anymore ideas welcomed.

check your timing advance I found that to be the problem on mine. and as always check the stickeys.
