Hey guys just wondering..... I suspect issues with my VRO (capped oil side) and it is a pre-1998. The fuel diaphram does NOT have the O-ring that they added in 1998. Were there some issues with the pump letting in air at that site? Can you just add the O-ring or are the housings different? (I suspect they are.)
When I re-assembled my VRO to rebuild the fuel side, I cracked the outer housing on the OUTSIDE of the screw. I think the pump may have an air leak there. I installed a clear hose and it appears that I have air intermittently coming into the fuel system. This is the same site as where the O-ring was added. (I am suspecting JohhnyRude added that o-ring when they found out how many people were rebuilding the VRO's.)
