Hi my name is Snapping Turtle.
I am a Boataholic. I stayed dry for twenty years. I have now suffered a severe relapse.
It all started to go down hill 5 months ago. I was driving down the road here and I saw three boats and a windsurf board on the side of the road.
I stopped to ask what was up, and was told they were abandoned in the warehouse and it was being torn down. They were all going to the dump to be crushed. I ask can I have them, and was told yes, but be fast.
A cell phone call to a friend with a very large transport truck. He was in north Germany coming back from Denmark. He said he would help but I would have to wait till he got to town. He called 5 hours later and said he would pick me up in 5min. in front of the city apartment where I live. I waited on the street.
He arrived and I told him where we were going, and why. He just laughed, a very sick laugh. He also is a boataholic.
My palms were sweating, my vision was blurred, and I was nauseas. Would they still be there?
We arrive as the sun was setting. Hard to see what shape they were in. There were three of them. A Sailboat, a Sail/Row/Motor Boat, and I Kayak. Sail/Motor Boat was the first we loaded, then the Kayak, then the Wind Surf Board. The biggest of all was the sail boat, the truck was full, and it would not fit.
Back home we unloaded. What the **** was I thinking! I live in an apartment on the third floor in the middle of the city!
Don't ask what I did with them, I am so ashamed!
The next day I got up, and drove to the spot of the boats and the Sail Boat was gone!
NOOOOOO!!!!! AHHHHHH!!!!!! I neeeeeed that boat tooooooo!!!! Two boats is not enough for me, I need more!
I am sick! A very sick man!
I now have three boats. There is a new/old one in my living room right now. It is 3.6 meters long. My living room is 3.6 meters wide. I even paid for the newest one! Oh God I am sick! A very sick man!
It has been raining non-stop for days, but on my balcony is a small two stroke motor, in a barrel of water, hooked up to a gas tank. I go out and start it everyday, just to be sure that if the sun every comes out again, I will be ready to go with a warm motor in 10 minutes.
