Adding Electric Start to older 20Hp

My dad has a 1965 mercury 200 20hp and would like to add electric start to it, is this possible or is it more trouble then it's worth ????

He doesn't use the boat much so a charging system wouldn't have to be used....

I think te first year Mercury built a electric start kit was 68 or 69 for the 20 HP engines.
