hi guys. im in a 1000 sq foot, 2 bed, 1 bath house in st.pete florida. the bedrooms and the bathroom each have their own vent, and the rest of the house( kitchen, dining, living rooms) all share one main vent wich is located at one far end of the room, so if your on the other end of the room where there is no vent, its not as comfortable. i would like to add a seperate vent for the living room and a nother for the kitchen/ dining room.
home has a central 3 ton system.
can i simply " T " into the current ducts in the attic that now leads to the main vent( as seen in pic) and run some ducts and vents to the other two rooms( as seen in pics).

i hope i made this a good enough pic.
email back if need be.

And it's a good idea to include a balancing damper in each new supply run.

Howdy Mike the simple answer yes you can now heres where it gets fun :D. Being as how you live in Fla you most likely have fiberglass ductboard ducts since thats how its been done down there forever gaaaaawd I dont miss messin with that itchy stuff LOL. You will need register boots for each of your new vents as well as registers that you can adjust the flow at . You will want to use flex duct for these new runs as it is firly DIY freindly . How is your ductwork run ? up in the Attic like 99.9% of the homes down there if so its gonna be hotter than Hades up there right now :D. You will want to cut holes in the existing trunkline ( The big one on the supply side ) and use start collars at the main trunk like these .

I would suggest 6" duct for your new runs and you will want to add at least one return in the living room . You cannot I repeat cannot put a return vent in the kitchen or bathroom. When you are running your new ducts be sure to use some metal duct tape to seal every transition well while you are running them . Oh yeah if you plan to do this durring any month other than January :D do it at night and make sure theres someone big enough there to drag you out of the attic after you pas out from the heat :D.
