I asked this before but can't fine any response's. Sorry
I have a 12 FT Alum StarCraft that already replaced the transom.
I will be adding a 3/4 plywood flooring.
I'm thinking about adding outriggers some may call them pontoons.
Something I could raise up when motoring around then lower to make the boat a lot stable.
Anyone here tried this?
On youtube there are ideas but hoping to get feed back here before I give it try.

Thanks

Stability isn't going to be your problem - excess weight is the issue. Adding 3/4" ply to a 12 footer in itself might just reduce the capacity to only 1 person.

thanks for your reply. I still have the problem of being stable are there any ideas for fixing this?
This is why I asking about the pontoons or outriggers.

Yes, 12' boats are not as stable as people want but that is a great reason to have everyone aware of what weight shifting will do.

Google outriggers and look at what people have done.

Yes it's doable but not common

A 12 footer is only going to be as stable as a 12 footer. We use our 8 footer in the pond. Our 14 footer gets the lake. Our 19 footer goes anywhere within 300 miles of our house.

If your water won't handle a 12 footer, you need a bigger boat.
