Adding rod holders to my swim platforms

I have a Stingray deckboat that I'm trying to slightly convert into a fishing boat for some of our weekend trips. I am at a loss as far to where to mount some rod holders. Just not many spots to do it. I have a very large swim platform on the back and thought about mounting four recessed rod holders into the platform. Not for trolling, but just to store rods out of the way and to use when bottom fishing, etc.

Any thoughts? Thanks so much!

Fast, keep in mind that any penetrations to the swim platform with rod holders will allow water to get into the bilge. Yeah, I know there are kinds that have rubber caps on them, but don't count on that to keep the water out. Your best bet will be some type of surface mount. Does your rig have a vertical spot that is suitable?

Find another place. You stand to lose some rods if you're not careful, as I'm sure when getting up on plane your swim platform, if nothing else, skirts the water. That will mean the handle end of the rod is underwater.

Gotta be room somewhere inside the seating area. I mean, it is a deck boat afterall.
