I have a 21' Bowrider and currently have a Interstate SRM-27B (675 CCA) battery. I am upgrading my stereo system (adding a subwoofer and amplifier) and want to add a second battery also. My question is, Should I add the same battery and/or battery with similar specifications, or can I add a smaller one, ie. AC Delco (M24MF, 400 CCA). I'm obviously added a Perko 2 battery Switch.

Thanks for any advice,

I would reccomend a deep cycle battery as a second and use that to run accessories such as your stereo.

ditto, deep cycle with a switch to go back and forth, but make sure you can run both when you are running the engine so they can charge.
