adding tiller to a remote

How hard will it be to add a tiller control to a 87 evenrude 25hp remote
I have a 81 25 now and can get a 87 elec for cheap and would prefer a newer motor with elec start but it needs to be a tiller
is this mod worth the trouble or would I just be better switching the elec to the 81

It's easy to change it over on a 50's and 60's models... not sure about the 80's...

don't know if mounting bracket will swap from motor to motor. throw some remote controls, and ezguide stick steering on the 87.
