I need a adhesive which can be used in a fuel tank to repair a fuel level sender. There are many products which claim to be fuel resistant but when I ask about using their product in a fuel tank no one seems to have anything. This would be gasoline with 10 or 15 % ethanol.

You need an adhesive thats unaffected by hydrocarbons. Most if not all products that are not affected will use the term intermittent for liability issues. If the part youre trying to fix is plastic, you can try to plastic weld it, if metal, you can weld it.
Or you could measure it and order a new one, which is what I would do.

Seal All is good for using in and around gasoline. You can patch the inside of a carburator bowl with it and the gas won't touch it.
