adjustment bottons on Evinrude 5.5hp 1961

Hi guys,<br /><br /> I need your help another time. I have an old evinrude 5.5hp 1961 and it has 2adjustments bottons on it and the other one is for the choke.Does anybody know what is the best way to adjust them. Do you have any tips on them? Thanks again for your help.

Lyse,<br /><br />One is low speed, one is high.<br /><br />Turn them both in until they seat-CAREFULLY.<br /><br />Turn each out about two turns as a starting point. Adjust from there in or out until the engine sounds right.

Adjust the low speed warm idling in gear.<br /> Adjust high speed warm at speed.<br /> Once you have the best speed turn slightly back toward rich.You may have to readjust low speed.
