adjustment proceeedures for Mercruiser aplha 1 trim switches

Can any one hook me up with a link or the proceedures for adjustment of 1996 carb version 4.3 Mercruiser Alpha One trim limit switches i remmber there being two possile ram lengths in or around my model. I used to google them and found them with ease but am either mentally loosing it of somethings changed i tried the search function here also but did not find a direct answer or link. I must by wording my searches wrong. Fact is by now I should own a factory manual for this boat but I have never needed it for anything other than this adjustment.

Ram length for limit switch is 20-3/4".

Thanks id like to ask one more time to make sure I am correct because I found another spec which was 21 3/4" mine is the later version alpha one the 20 3/4" length is for the newer production range right?

Its funny both specs used to be easy to find listed all over the place and what year was what adjustment and today there all just seem to be gone from the web.

A 96 is a Alpha Gen II which is 20 3/4".

Its funny both specs used to be easy to find listed all over the place and what year was what adjustment and today there all just seem to be gone from the web.
