Like DHP said. Being an ex-gmc mechanic, I thought having a boat with a 5.7 would be no problem. Then I got jacked by a "tech", then I bought factory manuals, and found a shop that was honest(old omc techs). Paid them the money to get it back up to speed, but now, after research, I can talk to them, about what parts I want to order, etc. And they used to tell me, when I had the wrong theory ,that I was wrong.. Find a good independent shop, through word of mouth. And read the manuals. I don't need techs(except in here, thanks guys) to work on my boat, anymore.
