I have a small trailer I use for my MX bikes. I can back that thing into a shoebox. When I first picked up my 22'er I was clipping curbs, taking out begonias. lol A I have a conversion van and cant see the bike trailer unless it turns into the view of the side mirrors. I just "S" back to back up straight and do alot of correcting on the steering when while NOT moving.

I use these for double duty: first for hitching trailers when I'm working solo. Second, I use them to help me back my single place pwc trailer down the ramp or into my driveway. They are magnetic so I just put them at the far corners of the trailer on the rails. They stand out really well, I can see them in my mirror just fine. $30. Great investment and time saver. Amazon has them too. They're called Hitchin Rods.
