Hi,

Most of us don't use our boats during the winter, unless we are fishermen. Please post any advice you may have for storing your boat during the winter seasons. We want to keep our boats in good shape during the off season. Right?
Re: *** ADVICE for storing your boat during the winter seasons!!!!! ***
you should let us know what make model and year but here it goes first put muffs on the water intake start the water then the motor inject fogging oil into the cylinders in short bursts not enough to stall it. do this for 10 seconds in each cylinder. Romove the drain and fill screws change the lower unit oil I suggest you get a pump as it is messy fill from the bottom screw until oil is coming from the top screw check the oil if it is relativly clear all is ok if milky you have a leak ( lots of advice on this board) put a stabilizer in your gas run it while fogging pull the connection allow to almost stall. Clean your motor check for any lose wires etc... grease your wheel hubs wash the boat drain any live wills making sure that all the water is out of the lines I take it to a gas station and with a fitting for rvs push compressed air through the lines wipe the wells down. If your trailer is painted I suggest that you spray it with wd4o amazed how over the years it has saved me from lots of rust remove the prop check for line etc... have a beer thats about it

any one want to add
