I agree that the anchor flukes (the pointy things on either side) are bent/misaligned from motoring the anchor up. First of all - stop doing that.
Depending upon what type of bottom you'll be anchoring in, I would recommend a Fortress (FX-11 or FX-16 for your size boat). I use the FX-11 with 6 feet of chain, and I set everytime, first time, and it has never release when I didn't want it to. If you don't want to pull it up manually, either invest in a winch, or get and learn to use an anchor ball. My wife, who weighs 108lbs soaking wet, is in charge of anchoring, and the Fortress is great. Lightweight, and when I use the anchor ball, she just has to gather in the rode, and then just lift the anchor from the surface of the water to the deck. She loves it.
