Aeartor Problem

I have a new to me boat. I don't think the aerator is working properly. When I turn the switch on the aerator comes on but I get no air through the tubing into the livewell. I took the tubing loose from the pump and can't feel any air coming out of the pump. I did this out of the water, however while in the water today the pump would come but no bubbles in the livewell water. Any thoughts or suggestions, please!!!!!!

Aerators in a boat pump water not air.

The problems is that it didn't pump anything. The aerator switch has MAN and AUTO, then there is a setting knob that says OFF, RUN, and has a couple numbers up to 7 I assume for it to pump on a timer. Not sure exactly which way the switch should be or where the knob should be set.
