Re: Aerial Airborne Wakeboard Tower

Changing the impeller was not that difficult. You have to make sure you have all the bolts taken off, including one thats hidden behind the zinc plate. The most difficult task in changing the impeller would have to be keeping the driveshaft in the correct gear, I highly recommend putting it in FORWARD!!! Also its easier to work on the lower end while its hanging between a ladder thats on its side. There are guides online about this, manuals, and forums so I wont go off topic.

As far as the feet go, I didn't have that many choices to where I could mount them because the side of the boat barely had any decent flat spots. Either way it wouldn't fit to the contour of the windshield. I could care less either way. I had a friend hold one end while I had the other, just to mark the holes. Did it again just to make sure... Measured each mount from the front of the boat, to the rear. Also measured it from the factory installed cleats that are equal on both sides. After I had the sides installed you have to adjust them so they're at a 90 degree angle... measure the distance from the side to the windshield, and duplicate that measurement for the other side. If you did everything correctly, it will be even. This is SERIOUSLY a two man, if not three man job. Hell I would have loved a third person helping. But I did it (me 5'10" 160lbs) and a friend (5'6" 135lbs). When you install the top middle bar, since its adjustable you drill your holes that fits your beam... When doing so you want to make sure that the side bars arn't leaning too far in, in fact I pushed them out slightly to reduce any rattling. Hope this is understandable because the directions that came with the tower weren't clear. They should really create a how to video on this, might help their sales. Once you open the box and see all the parts your like OMG lol. It all makes sense though if you piece together the small parts first.

Ohhh and lastly, I bought this tower so that I could STILL use my factory bimini!!!! I'd be SOL if I had to buy a new bimini after spending $1300 on a tower! I'll post some pictures of my bimini up tomorrow :)

Heres pictures with the factory bimini. Usually have it up since i'm a fare skin ginger, unless I have some hot bikinis on board that need some sun.

BTW, had a clip break on the bimini, which is why you see it wrapped up right now. New clip should come in later this week. And the wires wrapped around the tower are pull through wires, for when my speakers come in and to mount the nav light that comes with the tower.

Made a quick drawing how I would fold my tower if I didn't have these tall garage doors.

Also, be sure you hit all the bolts again after your first time out. some of mine loosened, others did not. After second outing, though, all stayed tight.

I havent ran my wires yet but I bought rubber gromets. I'll be using electrical tape to wrap the four speaker wires and the nav light wire. I'll post pics when i'm finished. Just ordered my tower speakers last night, 1200 watts peak on four speakers.

One big bolt per foot, and a nice size hole. You will need a 5/8" drill bit. One of my links shows it from the inside of my boat.
