Good idea sbb ! Is this gunna be anchor storage ? I hate that you guys up north have to put the projects in hibernation . It seems once ya get started good it's time to cover them up .. Oh well I guess building snowmen and shoveling the driveway can be fun too ! :snowman:

Thanks Sp. I need to cut out the walk through and also find a hatch cover for the anchor compartment up front. I also need to add a filler piece up at the very front.:joyous:
I'm not ready for the cold yet, but ready or not it will be here soon!

Hey Tony, I know you are into fiberglass boat rescue.

Boy do I have a super deal on a "mint" Sea Ray! She may be lacking some parts by the time you read this but the price is right, delivered right to your door my friend!

No boat progress, but had some tow vehicle fun and games. It's a 1996 Chevrolet Silverado and I bought it new.

Last week I went to start it and it just cranked and cranked, no start. I checked the fuel pressure and there was none. I had to replace the fuel pump. This truck is getting quite a bit of patina on it so cut a hatch in the bed to access the pump.

I will weld some tabs on the hatch and screw it down and seal it with silicone, for easy access later.

This is the old pump.

Hey SBB, great solution to an age old problem...I like it!:thumb: Much easier than having to drop the tank, by yourself, on the ground...been there...sux big time, plus hey, its a truck and meant for work and play...adds character, too...;)

Maybe instead of welding you can find some shallow aluminum extruded Z molding and tek screw it in place...just a thought...

BTW, hope you and yours had a wonderful holiday!

Sbb , Good idea trying to keep all the natural patina on there . It just might add to the value some day ... :D
