After fiberglass on deck, then what?

I'll be putting the deck back on my 14' Ouachita tri-hull. Before I took it off, the finish coat over the deck white w/ blue specs and went uniformly all the way up the sides. Now I'll be re-glassing the deck and connecting it to the sides, of course.
What will I need todo to get another uniform color? A color coat of resin w/ filler?

I'm gonna' say no to the resin for the color coat. Some sanding and probably a good single part urethane enamel will suffice as a color coat. Gonna' need to throw in some non - skid material to keep you from busting your butt when it gets wet. The "splatters" can be accomplished a few different ways. Either way you go about it the end result won't match, unless you do the entire inside.

You have a choice of paint, gel coat and some people use truck bed liner products. For gel coat (wax added) you can just clean up the surface (sand off any bad looking stuff) then apply it with some sand. for paint or other products follow the directions. There are several non skid products people have used with good results, try a search on (non skid) and there should be many threads on it.

Unfortunately carpet holds water, I recently epoxied my garage floor and it came with these colored flakes you sprinkled onto the epoxy. I got the kit at one of the "box" stores and I believe you can buy the flakes seperately.

Recently replaced the floor in my Bayliner and converted the old seating arangement to pedestal seating. Wanted a non slip floor and didn't want carpeting that would hold water and get stained and well you know. Went with glidden porch and floor polyurethane oil gloss from home depot and simply added a pouch of non skid additive which they also sell and mixed it right in. After applying oil based kilz primer it went on beautifully with a roller and has held up 2 seasons of fishing and playing. Super easy to hose your boat out and stains and marks come right up with a little soap and a brush.
