Does anyone have experience with the CMC PT-130 Tilt & Trim ? I was thinking of using these on my two 1978 70HP Johnsons.

Re: After Market Tilt & Trim

I have been looking at these for a while, and have only heard great things about the PT-130. I will be purchasing one this weekend. So I should beable to get it put on the boat in the next week or two, I hope.

I will post what I find once I get it all done. I found them at overtons for about $429.

Good luck.

Bryan

A friend has a PT-130 and has been very pleased with it. No problems and performs well. Cabela's sells [w/o gauge] for $440. With gauge for $510.

Re: After Market Tilt & Trim

I had one on my boat with a 70hp Evinrude, and now with a 115hp Johnson, I am very happy with it, and I like them much better than Panther. Well built, easy to install and tough. Last week I was at -10 degrees and I pulled my boat out to work on it, unit did tilt up and down (a little slower than usual) but I was surprised it was doing well with oil being this cold.

Re: After Market Tilt & Trim

How hard was it to install?

I am going to be putting it onto a Force 125hp engine. This engine has the Tilt/Trim mounted under the engine up against the transom. I am wondering what I am going to need to do, to make the engine mounts and Steering part fit correctly.

I think I have enough slack in my Steering cable, but not 100% sure yet. What would you recommend putting at the bottom hole where the engine now trims up and down on the side motor mount pieces? A pin or bolt ? Since on this force there is a hole that goes all the way through the engine, looks as if you could put some type of bolt there to set it as not to move at all to allow teh PT-130 to do the Tilt/Trim.

Thanks for all the help that everyone gives on here. This is the best boating forum I have ever found. Summer is getting closer and closer, so I cant wait to get on the water.

Thanks,
Bryan
