Are the aftermarket anodes as good as the mercrusier brand? what should they cost? guy on e bay has a new aftermarket set for $40. is this a deal or a ripoff for a 5 pc set

for fresh water there is a bulliten about magnesium alloy anodes.<br /> check with a local dealer and on how and where the drive will be used

read something about it in the early ninteisb ut never paid much attention to it as I never see fresh water boats.<br />volvo has a bulliten out as well on anodes and where they will be used.

seems like its resonable for 40 bucks.... I mean it is high, but probably pay the same if not more from a dealer. You know how it is, boats , jet skis, bikes, and other toys , they get you for the parts..

the correct ones from the dealer, for a bravo 2, are $65 for a complete set, and there is a difference between the freshwater ones and the saltwater ones. ive got a set coming , too little difference in money to take a chance.
