Aftermarket Engine Insulation

My Four Winns has this yellow sprayed on insulation under the hood, Although the engine runs fine and is generally pretty quite anyway, I'd like it to be even more silent. I've seen aftermarket insulation kits and was wondering if they work well. Although they do seem expensive. Can you buy heat resistant/ flame retardent insulation not specific to marine that would be suitable and far cheaper. I can't wait to hear more of that exhaust sound (due to the less of everything else sound)...

Might get better answers posting over on the Boat Restore & Building Forum they handle the fiberglass, foam, etc. type stuff. This forum is for engines and outdrives.
