On my 74 evinrude 50hp, at one time it seems like someone did the 12 amp stator conversion and this came with a 2 wire regulator. Right now I'm back to the 6amp OEM and I'm wondering:
a) if I need the regulator
b) if I leave it in will it hurt
c) how to wire it up (one yellow and one black), assuming yellow goes to any of the stator/rectifier terminals and the other is ground?
