Aftermarket trim limit switches

It's time to replace both my trim limit switch and gauge sending unit as both have failed. Has anybody had any luck with the aftermarket versions? They're all over Ebay for about $35. The Sierra version is about $85, but appears to have the same stock photo as some of the $35 units. Obviously, this isn't a job I want to do twice so I want a decent part, but I don't want to overpay either. Thoughts?

That job is such a pain in the you-know-what that I wouldn't consider using anything other than OEM. That's what I used, and I wouldn't even think about ordering no-name parts off Ebay for this application.

Old Chinese proverb. Cheap no good, good no cheap....

You pays your money, you takes your chances.

Personally, that job, even if the OEMs were twice the price, I'd still pay it.

Agreed. I went aftermarket and they failed in one or 2 seasons. They suck to replace. I think I've only had working switches for 2 out of 11 years that I've owned the boat.
