When I first found Iboats, I was buying older boats because I like the style and pretty much felt that the older hulls were more solid and could take harsher use.
These days, I pretty much search iBoats for older models I may like, then go hunting. With the fuel situation being what it is, I no longer chase bigger boats and have been even more convinced that aluminum is the way to go.
My newest boat is 22 years old, the oldest is 46 yrs old.
All of mine now are aluminum, I started out years ago owning nothing but aluminum, but gained some interest in a few glass boats over the years but migrated back to all aluminum again.
When I look for a boat, I generally put more weight on the ads for an older boat or any older aluminum boat than any newer boat.
