air conditioner for 300sc

I am installing AC on my 2000 300sc and wanted to see if anyone with a 300sc has air conditioning and where the thermostat is mounted. want to be sure before I cut a hole in the wall of my boat. Thanx

Doug, Mine is located in the same cabinet as my stereo. The stereo is mounted on top, the a/c controls are locted right under stereo, inside that cabinet. I can't take a picture of it right now, otherwise I'd send you one. But, the cabinet is installed on the outside wall of the head, on the right side as you are walking into the cabin area from the outside. Hope this helps. Also, you're the only dude from Jacksonville that has chimmed in on this board that owns a Doral. Post some pics of your boat; I'd like to see what she looks like. Good luck with your installation. Guess it's an understatement to point out that a/c in Florida is not a luxury, but rather a necessity.

Wayne, Thanks for the info. On the 300sc, there is a mirror on that wall, not a cabinet. The stereo is mounted next to the mirror so I guess I could put it over or under the stereo. I'm just trying to find out how it would have been installed in the factory. Anyway, you are correct, it is a necessity down here. I told my wife it would save us money on hotel rooms! I will upload some pics soon.

Thank you, this is what I was looking for! Mine is a little different as there is a mirror on that wall. I guess they changed the design from 1999 to 2000. But, either way, this should work.

Has do you fix a vacuum leak that disables the HVAC?
