Airguide Tachometers Retro (UPDATED)

Hello, I have a question about the Airguide tach the model is retro Tachometer reads to 7,000-rpm for all 4-, 6-, and 8-cylinder inboard and outboard gas engines. I have a 1979 evinrude 55hp will this model work for me??
