I've got a 1989 mariner 100 that within a few seconds of cranking up, a constant beep sounds off. I've disconnected the temp sensor, warning module and low oil reservoir sensor in that order with no success. I've been running it with the key partially turned off so I wouldn't hear that annoying sound, but it's time to address it (ok, the real reason is that the fishing has slowed). Could it be a faulty warning horn or corroded connections? How do i go about testing it?
Thanks in advance.

BTW, thanks to those who helped me with installing the lower unit after a water pump kit replacement. Pees farther than my 3 year old now.

Re: alarm on mariner 100

There is a tan/blu wire that comes from the main wire harness into the engine cowl. If you disconect that from the terminal block the beep should stop. If not there is a short/corosion in the long harness somewhere.
