I've been experiencing when initially starting my starboard engine (1994 Mercruiser 5.7) that the the alarm will go off after approximately 15 minutes running. Both the oil pressure, and temperature are identical to the the port engine. After the alarm sounds, I'll kill the engine and restart it immediately again, which it won't sound the alarm again until 4 or 5 minutes running. Any clues as to what is causing this, since the water temperature and oil pressure look good?

Thanks!!!

The alarms are set off by 3 things. High temp, low oil pressure, and low gear lube in the outdrive reservoir.
None of the switches for the alarms are the same as the senders for the gauges.
Next time the alarm sounds, disconnect the temp switch, then the oil switch, then the reservoir wires to see which one is causing the problem.

Would you know of where to find the oil sensor and hydrualic sensor on a mercruiser 5.7 (1994 model)?

Thanks...

Ayuh,...Up in the adults only section you will also find that Ayuh is not a real word.

Turns out maybe some people don't spend their lives on a forum and know where everything is. Get a life Bond-o!
