I have a 1992 200 Johnson. The alarm sounds at full throttle. If I back it off slightly the alarm stops. I disconnected the oil injection about 2 years ago but did not disconnect the oil reservoir. Can I safely remove the oil tank and all lines. I now use mixed gas. Also why does the alarm sound at full throttle. Thanks for the help.

Because it is overheating, has fuel restriction, or shorted tan wires. Disconnect wires to remote oil tank, and VRO pump.

There is a vacuum switch that sounds the horn when a fuel restriction exceeds 7" Hg. As soon as you back off the throttle, less fuel is needed and the restriction subsides. If it were overheating, the horn would stay on until it cooled down enough and the engine would slow if 2500 if it had the SLOW warning system.

Check your fuel filters, hoses, anti-siphon valve, fuel pickup screen, kinked lines, etc.

most likely a fuel flow problem , disconnect the lines and blow them out ,change fuel filter.
