Well I got the de-carbonizer from OMC but it tells me to disconnect the primer lever valve cap to connect OMC's brand of Engine Tuner. I cannot find this in the new manual from OMC anywhere. I hate to sound dumb but where do I screw this hose onto to inject until engine stalls as it says? Thanks again.

Re: Alcan or Hondon need more help please

I don't own OMC, so this is a guess, from seeing them at marinas. That description has me guessing even more. But There should be a plastic plug in a fitting, close to the intake, somewhere on the fuel rail (where the injectors are), or on the fuel line intake to the pump.. Probably around the oil injector on models still equipped with oil injection.
But basicly, look for a fitting with a cap or plug over it,that this can will directly screw onto. If you have removed the oil injection, the fitting is no longer there, otherwise it is.
Sorry to be so vague, but that is extent of my knowlage on the subject. But seeing how nobody has seen and answered this one yet, I thought I would give it a stab, and at least jkeep it on the top page till the OMC guys see it.

That helps a lot, I will take another look. I appreciate the help. I have disconnected the Oil injector, but I thought this went into the carberation system. Am I missing something? Where is that outboard service manual for "Dummies"?

This has nothing to do with the oiling system. It should be on the primer solenoid valve. The assmy. should have wires going to it, hoses going to it, as well as a red lever about an inch long. The red lever SHOULD have a shrader fitting(like a tire filler fitting) If you find the red lever, and it doesn't have a black cap and fitting on it, you may have to replace the lever with one that does. (cheap)

Thanks, I found the red lever, no fitting. I hope I can place a fitting on there?

Hi Sandman
Sorry I couldn't get to you sooner. It's that darn day job thing.Schematic has you squared away. Did you soak your bad hole? Did you get some compression back? Was the bad hole on the bottom (#2)?

I was unsucessful with soaking. Lower cylinder has no compression and it appears the lower piston has a hole burnt in it. I took it off the boat and plan to start tearing it down this week. I may need a lot of suggestions on this project. Thanks so much for all assistance and suggestions. I keep telling my wife that this work thing keeps getting in the way of fun! :)
