all 3 lost fire

Just before determining that my head gasket was blown, my 71 3 cyl. johnson 60 died. I checked the spark and there was none on any cylinder. I have a manual on the way but what can I check in the meantime? Are there points on this motor under the flywheel I can check? I would guess it would have to be the powerpack or something under the flywheel and not the coils since all 3 quit firing. The water in cylinders and dead spark are two different problems arent they?<br />Thanks in advance
