For the cost of a piece of wire you want to install an entire new panel?? Don't understand that logic since you already admit you don't have a good ground which means your new panel wouldn't work either. Fix what you have. This is not a mystery. The diagram in the sticky is all you need. If you DO NOT have +12 volts and ground "through the engine harness" you need to fix that and things will come to life. If the live well pumps and other stuff doesn't work, that stuff gets powered directly from the battery through the smaller (generally 10 gauge) wires that feed the fuse panel or the accessories directly.

Lol no I was planning on getting a new panel anyway as mine has a split right down the center. This just gives me a way to justify it to my wife. I found the issue. Someone cut the factory supply to wire in a new radio and couldn't get it work right. I rewired the gauges. And everything works but the switches. Which is a wiring issue at this point. Thanks for all the info. U guys have a wealth of knowledge and I appreciate all the help so far!

The gauges work because they get power through the engine harness. The switches do not. They are powered through the two smaller wires connected to the battery. Those two wires are the feed to the switches.

We're 23 articles into the discussion of how to distribute 12-volt power over a distance of about 15-feet. Have we solved this yet?

24 with yours and that was not much help, nor is this one but what the heck. I'm just waiting for the race to start. To some, power distribution is as much a mystery as nuclear physics so without interaction, the inability to follow directions, and proper use of test equipment these can become long threads.
