I was cruising along yesterday going to get fuel whe I came over the top af a set of rollers and there were a whole bunch of partially submerged logs. I immediatly pulled the throttles to neutral and hoped for the best here are the pics of the damage I'll try to stp crying long enough to post them.

there is also some minor gelcoat damage to the gel coat on the port side.

Could have been worse props can be straightened out.

You limped back in no one is hurt, the baby needs some lovin, she will be alright.

I'm with chief, you got off light. Smile, that's what Insurance is for . . . you'l get new bottom paint, check over of the trim system etc. I'd have been crying too, but that's what we're for, reminding you that all will be good and potentially better

P.S. Try and limit pics to 640 x 480 . . . helps with loading speed and dimensions on most browsers.

boy i must be lucky. here is a pic of a log jam we got in to on the escalante river on lake powel.
we were idleing as slow as we could. we unlike, you were lucky enough to spot it in plenty of time to slow down

i probly would have said worse! but all in all there were no lives lost and that was a blessed day on the the water. good luck on repairing the damage!

I have recommended Boat US insurance to people on this forum several times because of the price and coverage limits. Now I have an even better reason to recommend them. I called them at about 9:00 am told them my story and was told an adjuster would get back to me in the next 72 hours. at 12:30 an adjuster called me gave me his name phone and fax numbers asked if I needed to be reimbursed for the haul out and told me an independent marine surveyor would call me within 48 hours. At 1:30pm a marine surveyor called and said he could meet me at the boat in an hour. at 2:30 I met him at the boat and he had other concerns and found additional damage he said he would get the summary tomorrow and be able to authorize repairs.

this is the fastest I have ever seen an insurance company respond and still remain professional and courteous. anyone who needs boat insurance boat us is the only place you need to look.

Wow glad to see you are okay and knowing what you did for a living previous to this helps you handle the stress! Your here, boat did not sink and the insurance agent is involved. Good news for a bad incident.

I'm glad it worked out so far for you, they seem like a good company if i ever get a boat worth something i'll get it ins. for it with that company.

I called them when i first got the boat and they said it ain't worth nothing, how do you insure a boat thats worth nothing ?

I said i put close to 3 grand into it putting it back on the water. They said use it well. They were nice but alas no ins, for the boat itself liability i have thru Allstate.

You were wise getting the expensive baby insured well. is the reason for this post.

Wow! Certainly could have been worse.

Please do us all a favor and post the final result of the claim. Don't need a $$
amount, just need to know how long it took to get a check and if you thought it was a fair settlement.

I have my first policy expiring in a couple of months and am thinking to switch to Boat US.

They won't cover boats w/over 300hp.

I've been with Boat US as a member for 15yrs, good company. Their Sea-Tow saved my arse from sinking once!

the boat in the pic has 560hp and they insure that they insure boats with 1300hp mann diesels

Perhaps it was HP vs. type of boat, or perhaps it was financing? There was something they wouldn't do, financing or insurance. Sorry I can't remember exactly.
