all motor no movement

on the lake today with a 89 sterndrive SeaRay 4 cylinder and after the tuber fell off we put it in neutral and it would not go in gear again Any ideas

Please post more information, like make and model of outdrive. What happened when you tried to shift to forward?

1989 SeaRay 3.0 Mercruiser Alpha 1 Does that help? Motor just revs up but does not go. If you put it in reverse motor seems to bog down

Check the level and condition of the drive oil.
Remove drive and try it to shift manually

just got the manual today. checked the drive oil and it is good. with the boat in gear you can turn the prop and feel and hear a clicking, you can also see the linkage on top of the motor bouncing Any suggestions
