All Painting advice and suggestions appreciated!!!

Have a 15' Bayliner Mosquito and im redoing the floor in and not replaceing the carpet but going to use either a roll-on or sray in liner/sealer like you would use for a pickup truck bed. Was thing, if I'm going this far I wonder how hard it would be to paint?
Im fairly handy as I have worked remodeling homes and am pretty tooled up as far as sprayers, compressors ect.
Im not looking to fully restore this boat, only to paint it, color doesnt even have to change...
Just want the paint to look nice. So where do I start, what base paint do I use? How does it mix for spraying. How can I trust buying someones extra paint off craigslist is still good? some opinions about the ryno liner would be appreciated also.

Forget the rhino liner do some research on Durabak for the deck.

Mike,

It's really a LOT better if you keep your POSTS together concerning your boat. It makes it a lot easier for all of the iBoaters to help you if they can follow along with all of the posts instead of bouncing between several different ones. I guess you have decided to go ahead and restore the boat??

I've had good luck with Glidden Porch & Floor Polyurethane paint. I mixed it with the Behr traction additive and prepped the fiberglass on my 15' tri-hull by washing it down several times with Acetone. I did two coats, used a roll-and-tip method and it came out beautifully. I did this last year in June and the boat has been out at least 8 or 9 times since with a combination of fishing and tubing trips. It still looks good although it might need a touch-up in the high traffic areas between the seats by the end of the year. At $19 a gallon available at Home Depot, and a gallon taking care of the whole deck and up the sides, I can afford to re-do every other year and touch up every other year until the boat gives up the ghost.

not restoreing it, repairing it.
I pulled the motor this morning and I could lift the *** of the boat with one hand that told me there wasnt alot of water on board and the plug is in it with no build up in the bilge area.
so I widened the area I removed to good dry solid wood and am just going to patch it and use it as I dont have much choice.
The underside of a the plywood I was tearing up had a cdx stamp on it so im assuming thats not marine grade. The most predominently wet chunk of foam actualy lifted out of the cavity so im spraying poly in there. and the weaks spot on the floor were exactly on top of the areas where the previous pour-able foam did not rise.
Probably not the way alot of people would repair anything, and definately not the way to restore it. But I think this will get me thru the summner then when I dont have a trip in 8 days requireing a boat I can pull it back in the garage and take the cap off and do it right.
Sorry about the multiple posts it was 2 different subjects and I didnt know any better. didnt have alot of helpfuls replies to the floor deal but more on this thread so looks as it worked to me advantage.
