The world is warming FACT is it not disputed by any scientist. This warming changes the environment we live in FACT.

Uh, I beg to differ. Maybe none of your koolaid drinking liberal buddies can find a scientist to dispute whether this globe is getting warmer, but you bet I can. You want me to find you a link? I'll gladly find one, or two, or three.

Do you know what this planet was like 10000 years ago? 100000? A million? No, we have reliable temp history for what, 100 years? That's a joke. This planet is 4.5 BILLION (Thats with a B for all you liberals) years old. We have NO EFFIN CLUE what the climate was like 2 BILLION (again libs, with a B) years ago. Five hundred million years.....same thing.

How in the hell can you tell me with any kind of backbone that the earth is getting warmer, and that "no scientist" disputes that? That's obviously wrong or there would be no global warming arguement to begin with! LOLOL

With the analysis of arctic core samples, we have atmospheric and temp data going back some 650,000 years.

And ob, clearly restoring the tropical rain forests are crucial to solving this problem. This will require global solutions. This is not solely a US problem, and it is going to require someone to take a leadership role.

Oh, and the coldest winter in years? where did that data come from?

Here in northern Michigan, we've had a particularly mild winter, and NOAA scientists are reporting Lake Superior surface temperatures are 4 degrees above long term averages.

The problem is that the ice cores clearly show that the polar caps have come and gone as part of a natural cycle

How ya gonna fix that ?

To add a little to this comment.........

If you look here Pointer, Winter Weather Averages by State You will see that we actually had a winter with above average temps.

Like many people who don't put any stake in global warming, you have taken small snapshots of our winter and applied them to the entire season making it appear as though it is true. Yes we had a few weeks where the temperatures were well below zero, and we still have snow on the ground.............BUT we also saw almost 80 degree temps in March and a warm snowless December and part of January. We had average snowfall.

It just cracks me up.....the minute we have below average temps or late snowfall everyone clamors at Global warmings idiocy, yet no one mutters a word when we had temperatures well above freezing for chunks of winter. Sure there was lots of ice and snow at the end, but that is not winter as a whole.

Global warming can be debated, no one can say for certain whether it is happening and if it is if we are playing a role in it. No doubt the earth warms and cools natrually, but who knows if we are causing it to happen differently. If a volcano can erupt and cause a "year without a summer" it seems logical that years and years of humans putting the same stuff into the atmosphere, it will affect it to some degree.....what that degree is, is most certainly ambigous. One thing we can say for sure is that it most undoubtably not one of the coldest winters in years PERIOD. that is just pure spin.

To answer your first point, by using the data we have available and the numbers go up :) The global warming argument from my point of view is a) Is this a natural change or something mankind is causing b) What will the effect be i.e Will sea levels rise and my house be underwater.

With regards to your second point I dont care what the weather was Billions of years ago because a) Man did not exist so whether he could or couldnt survive was irrelivant and b) the data for where I live does not exist that far back.

I find this obsession with liberals very strange. I dont care whether you are democrat or republican. I would hope that as you had the vote you could look at a global issue without clouding it with local politics. Shock horror would it be possible to say some republican ideas are good as are some democrat or is life just so simple its red or blue.

Enjoy the sun!

For fun

Maybe none of your koolaid drinking liberal buddies can find a scientist to dispute whether this globe is getting warmer, but you bet I can.

I'm sure you can, the world is full of a) idiots b) people who say things because it is to their advantage. :)

Respect and enjoy the Sun

Great,In the beginning of January when it was over 60 degrees in Upstate NY,not many people disputed global warming, Now in April the wind comes from the north and we have decided that there is no global warming.
The weather is a great innocent thing to fight about, after all, nobody is gonna change it.Or are we?
We can all do some very simple things to reduce carbon and save energy.
Buy local.By buying food that was produced locally and not in Chili and buying beer that was brewed in your own town and by buying things that were made close to home (not China) we save millions of gallons of fuel that would otherwise have been wasted on transport.
How can we force China and India to stop polluting? Call your congress man and ask for legislation that will only allow products into America that were produced without causing environmental damage.
Now we catch a lot of things in one blow.We still drink beer,we support our local economy and we force other countries to be responsible world players.

Only 1/3 of the "scientists" say that this warming is due to man; read up on it.
