Kim Mitchell's new CD is amazing. He's always been a powerboater too... He even once did a much music TV interview at the helm of a boat in Georgian Bay.
Lot's of good boating tunes - He has a cool song about Giant's Tomb, his favourite boating destination, but I don't think he's ever put it on a CD....

Like most, I can't name just one. I have Journey, Fleetwood Mac, and the Eagles tied for first. Def Leppard, Boston, REO Speedwagon, Paul McCartney (AND WINGS - no Beatles for me!!!) lead the rest of the pack, but there are a lot more I'd put right up there.

QC - I get the Ambrosia thing. For me they don't make the short list, but they're prominently positioned on the long list.

At work the other day one of the younger people commented on the classic rock i was ROCKING out to and i said when did it become classic. Like pony and other younger people ( including my 22 year old son) listen to the same music
that i listen to because there is no real good rock out there any more. I know
there are some bands out there that play the same stye of music that i like and i listen to them but when i hear KISS play Beth or Boston plays Amanda
that's good music. Vanhalens jump in the morning is the best way to start the day.

pearl jam,ac/dc and nirvana,heavy riffs are great,plus forgot about stevie rays
rendetion of voodoo child,sweet strings.

....got to be careful with this one...don't want to date myself too badly. Absolutely no singular band..period. However....lets see the Stones, U2....lately Collective Soul and the Tragically Hip.
I'll probably want to substitute at least one of those over the next day or so if I really reflect further on this.

i listen to anything from bluegrass to jazz to blues. the blues mostly. but The Beatles is for sure my favorite......

I hadn't posted in this one because it is impossible to pick one, ....BUT, if I was on a desert island and could have only one cd it would be Yes's "Tales from Topographic Oceans".
But Lordy does that leave a lot of great rock bands out of the mix!
