I figure my Doral will spend another 4 months under wraps before it'll be bottoms wet.

Hopefully spring will be early!

Planning to uncover ours mid April. Currently in Alabama on business and it was 65 degrees today and perfect boating weather. Sometimes wonder if it would be worth moving down here and then Spring in Canada rolls around :):D

Mid April? Wow. I figure I"ll be lucky to be out by Mid May. In Georgian Bay the ice is often not out until 2nd week in April (depending on the winter) and the water is still ice cold with iffy weather conditions.

Well we will be O.K. for Lake St Clair in mid April, however we will not be venturing to the cottage near Lions Head (Georgian Bay) till the May 24 weekend.

well guys it is nice you are talking about ice going out it hasnt even frozen over yet and the way the weather man is talking we arnt going to freeze down that far, but yes im looking forward to the total retrieval of the ice. The snow has gone down tremendously and the ground isnt even frozen yet. Im in Parry Sound. Peter

Oh and will also be taking a look at does nice and highly expensive boats that are ment for another life....

Back from the boat show! Seems the pricing of new boats keeps going up . Even for the entry level ones .
Baja wasn't there but Cobalt was...

I did not buy anything . Could not find deals on any accessories like GPS's , Speakers and SS props . There was very little places that had them .

We did spent some time looking at Roswell Wake towers with speakers and LED lights

Hmm...

Re: Almost half way there

So you did not spend anything. That's a good thing in my book. Sometimes at shows (boating or otherwise) I have ended up buying something I did not really want, and even if I did need it I have usually paid too much for it !!!
Boat prices have not been hit by the recession then eh ??? :)
Thanks for the update.

Well,

If early May is splash time we're under 3 months.

I'm figuring as long as I'm out by the May Long weekend I'm happy. Anything earlier I'm super happy.

I'd be pissed if I had to wait til May! I hope to have my boat done and at least run a couple times late March/early April.

Re: Almost half way there

I went to NC a few weeks ago to try to get away from the snow and got caught in one of the storms that had gone through.

It was very nice to see the boats all still floating in Lake Norman. They have the life down there for sure.

Finally warming up here this weekend. I can see the tarp on the boat again. We are all itching to get that cover off.

So far this March has been better for boating than June 09...

Re: Almost half way there

I brushed the snow off my 12' AeroCraft yesterday(she's upside down out back by the evergreens) and we checked on it today:)

Can't wait to get on the water...luckily we do have a ramp in the grand river here in Lansing that never freezes and the dock can't be removed:D

So I may be taking the little boat for a spin next week...the big(16') boat needs some work before she gets wet:cool:

Good luck to everyone this spring:)
