Okay, we've been using the party barge this summer, but I've just about got her like I want her now. Had the tubes pressure checked and leaks fixed, finally got new tires on the trailer, which was an ordeal because I ended up having to order them (long story that played out over in Trailers and Towing), had the sundeck recovered, picked up an on board charger yesterday, and ordered a Magma grill which was delivered this afternoon. Gonna take her out Friday evening for a guys' night fishing (read beer drinking and goofing off) expedition. I'm psyched.

Sounds great. I'm having a leak fixed in my 22' Sweetwater/Honda 90. Can't wait to get it back! You're in Arkansas right? I would like to visit some of the lakes there. There are so many to choose from. I'm at Smith Mt Lake, Va. I wouldn't mind retiring there....actually I wouldn't mind just retiring.:)

Re: Almost there

Retiring would be okay. Only about thirty more years for me.:( You're right, we Arkies are spoiled by all the lakes and rivers. Lots of good fishing, playing and cruising water within 1.5 hours of my front door. Within the confines of the state there is pretty much any kind of water you can name other than salt. You should definitely come check it out some time. We have lots of retirees from other countries, like Wisconsin and Minnesota;)

Re: Almost there

thats great to hear.. i have read you do some tubing, and i am envious, my barge struggles to make 15 mph.. but next season i intend on a getting a bit more motor.. glad to hear yours is comin together.. i would really like to see pics of your grill installed, and your opinions of it after you try it out.. i have seenthe magma grills online, my smoky joe probably isnt the safest thing on earth when i grill on the front deck.. i keep my extinguisher handy, but a purpose built marine grill would be nice.. thanks, and good luck on the outing.. me and my kids went out tonite to do some fishing, a nice lake that was just damned up and made a few years ago.. a really nice lake, but the fishin wasnt great, we caught a few, but very small.. to be expected though on a young lake.. havin a great summer on the water..

Re: Almost there

I'll throw up some pics on Monday if I can figure out how. Sometimes the computer is my friend. Other times... I may have to consult the photo posting thread.
