I love this right wing logic.

They (the right) have control of all branches of gov't---everything is going to heck in a handbasket all over the world, and the fault lies with what the libs did 20 or 30 years ago.

I wonder why Rush is popular with deductive reasoning capabilities like that!
I wish I could somehow give you the latest Limbaugh Letter, because the COVER STORY, entitiled "Shaddow Government", illustrates and documents this very subject. It's not the ellected people that make-up this vast wing of administration... It's institutionalised appointees from the past 3 presidential administration terms (in other words, not just Bush's appointees, but bubba's.
Here is one small exerpt;
"Writhing and squirming under democrat rocks, you'll find a rat's nest of clinton holdovers and malignant leftist fellow-travelers, bent on running the show."

There is the problem. And if it were me, I'd do what clinton did .... I'D FIRE THE LOT OF THEM!!
whew!!where's the tylenol?

Poor old Bushie.

An unsuspecting victim of the vast left wing boogey men!

Yep that explains it!

And don't tell me you pay real money for this "letter?"

You've *GOT* to be kidding, right?

PW,

The Limbaugh Letter (which I don't recieve) is at least honest. They market themselves as a conservative newsletter. The NYT pretends (poorly) to be a balanced NEWS-PAPER. The Limbaugh letter succeeds at being conservative while the NYT fails at being balanced. The subscriptions to the LL are increasing while the NYT's readership is decreasing.

I'm sure Bush knows where the leaks, insubordinatation, back-stabbing and intentional sloth within the governmental beurocracy are, and at times, he has played them like a stratavarius!
And no, I'm not kidding. i pay for both "Rush 24/7" and subscribe to the "Limbaugh Letter". And from what i hear, Rush aint hurting for cash, so that must mean he's not laying-off any of his staff.
Thank you for making my point-of-topic so well for me.
The alnewyorktimes betrays the national security of it's own country, shortly followed by a sharp decline in readership/subscriptions ---and we get replies like:

The newspaper industry has been struggling with higher newsprint costs, a weak advertising environment, declining circulation and frustrated shareholders. Once-robust advertising categories such as automotive, retail and employment have been lackluster for some time.

This is why I stated "DUH", in the subject line.
They still "wunner why"....Amazing!!
I defend Rush, while the left defends the alNYtimes.
I defend what Rush defends (for the most part), and they defend what alNewYorkTimes defends.

I think I have to modify my theory.

I used to think something had to be at least remotely credible to be believed.

Rush has proven me wrong!

Put your waders on and put you gas mask on the Limbaugh Letter {The High Times} will turn your eyes brown faster than s**t. Rush is a idiot was it Thurdays show he blamed the middle east problems on the mess Clinton left, Gee W had 6 1/2 years to clean it up.....it's to much work, what Rush fall to mention was Clinton had to deal with 12 years of GOP mess that Reagan and Bush left him or was the world perfect at that point.....I don't think so......... The lemmings that follow Rush will wake up someday, when they wake up at the bottom of the cliff......

Another happy subcsriber huh? Take it from one who actually DOES subscribe. The information is backed-up by links and all source material is creditted at the bottom of each article. All that, and no classified information is printed. Of course, you wouldn't know that, but keep drinkin that BS flavored koolaid, and eating your vegetarian rainbow stew, because it makes the contrast between me and you more defined. Thanks.

Well im glad that the duh was put in there, don’t know what it is supposed to mean, but being I am just an uninformed lib, what do I know.

O buy the way since you seem to be so concerned about newspaper circulations, I have some numbers that just might interest you, it is just a sampling of the last five years circulation figures of the New York times for the month of March.

March 1998 home delivery 1,650,179 copies.
March 1999 home delivery 1, 687,959copies.
March 2000 home delivery 1,691,287 copies.
March 2001 home delivery 1,694,138 copies.
March 2002 home delivery 1,735,059 copies.
March 2003 home delivery 1,672,965 copies.
March 2004 home delivery 1,677,003 copies.
March 2005 home delivery 1,680,582 copies.

Of course these are numbers for the daily paper, more than likely they will be a bit different for the year 2006,with the cost cutting and everything, wouldn’t be surprised if they don’t pick up with the coming fall elections.

The last numbers I got for The Limbaugh Letter their circulation was about 400,000 is that daily, yearly,, or maybe monthly? Got to go take a nap didn’t get much sleep last night worrying about the Limbaugh letter and everything.

I'll have to calll BS on those numbers, Treedude.
The "DUH" was placed there to emphasize the mentally-challenged responses I expected to receive in defense of that traitorous rag -- and I got them, didn't i? LOL Thanks again for your contributions :)

Take a couple oxycottin ,or maybe a hit of prozac and call me in the morning.
As for Rush's circulation numbers vs NYT, it's pretty much apples and oranges. I really don't care to read BS, so i have my sources that i subscribe to, and you have yours. Whatever floats yer boat, Treedancer.
Join the piped masses if you want. I don't care. I only posted this thread to illustrate the depths some would sink to to defend their news sources, and you (and a couple others) have obliged nicely.

I have no idea what Rush's circ numbers are. I looked, but cannot (as of yet) find any data to back-up your claims, or to call your bluff on iether way. I can't seem to find any data on NYT's circ iether, in order to vet your numbers against...got a link? Didn't think so. :) And i cannot take your word for it, considering where you get your news from, or at least, the sources you defend.
It's not that I am concerned that your new sources are drying-up, Treedancer. It's just a post to illustrate how American patriots react to traitorous buisnesses in this country. Of course, we are not ALL patriots. America has it's share of peopple who like that sort of activity, and even support/defend it...Whatever
why.gif

Rush tows the party line. Mike Savage tells it like it is. By the way, would anyone like the NYT running the war on terror? Thats what I thought.

Based on your numbers I guess that means that a pay for subscription Limbaugh letter has about half the readers as Air American has listeners for a FREE over the air programing. Has AA lost their flagship station in NY yet???

And what right does the NYT have to make a profit? Haliburton makes a small profit and you want to lynch everyone who ever uttered the name Haliburton. What percentage would be an acceptable profit for the NYT?

Hate to disappoint ya 12footer, must be looking in the wrong places, the first is the New York times. They might have fluffed the numbers up a bit, but being it is a publicly held corporation most likely pretty close to the truth.

Boy you really know how to hurt a tree huggers feelings don’t you? I got that from quackgrass Press, your wondering what the hill is a quackgrass press, well 12 footer it is a right wing whacko web site, started by a Rush wannabe, So your most likely right in your assumption that the circulation figures are bogus, 200000 would most likely be the real circulation, rather than the 400000, figure that I quoted. http://www.quackgrass.com/articles/07rush.html

Really12 footer you should get out into the real world, rather than hanging around in Rushes virtual world surrounded by like-minded ditto heads. It would give you a little more perspective
Rather than hanging the computer and getting your marching orders for the week from Rush.

Can’t say that I don’t subscribe to the same letters that you do, got to see what you will be harping on for the coming week, got to do my homework you know how us sneaky libs are. So have a goodun o bud seeya on the turn around

Treedancer, if you get the numbers of PAID delieveries it would probably be much less. I don't remember the NYT having a radio show that millions listen to everyday like Rush. Why should I pay for the news letter when I can listen for free? I'm not only politically conservative but also fiscally..........

Three links to the times, one tells the media story the other two will provide some good listening if you can tear yourself away from being indoctrinated long enough.

. Good read Pointer, but wouldn’t you agree with me that the Times would be a good stock to have now at the current price, with the fall elections coming up? I have bought several pieces of the pie and most likely will get several more.

Scared of what the new media will do to old line outlets even if they have on-line services. Based on the article the CEO is a dynamic fellow willing to turn things upside down to get in the right direction. (or left:$) I would think that you could find area's in the market that are safer than this or more aggressive than this. But I am the absolute last person to ask about investing, anything I invest in regardless of history sinks like a stone.
