Alpha 1 Engine coupler

Can you slide the engine ahead enough after you pull the outdrive off to remove the bell housing, and get to the coupler ?

I don't think so, but it may depend somewhat on whether there is enough room to move the engine, then get in and work. On my V8, there is no way.

Usually ,<br />By the time you've got the Several Inches to do the Work,<br />It's Easier to just Pull the Danm Thing OUT.............................

I second that motion, even if you have the room, a v8 engine just doesn't "slide" anywhere very easily. plus it would be a good way to get hurt or tear something up... pull it out
